Overview

The Systems Analyst I-Security Analyst is responsible for front-line support and basic administration of all Information Security tools and processes of the Security Team. This position works to administer the technical solutions, provision user accounts, provide consulting, resolve open security trouble tickets, document areas of responsibility and work towards the overall goal of reducing risk for the hospital.  May be required to be part of the on-call rotation for off hours support.

Responsibilities

 

LIST THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED BY THIS POSITION

 

1.

 

Administration and support of Information Security tools and processes

 

2.

Account provisioning across multiple platforms including Active Directory and several healthcare applications

 

3.

 

Works as a Tier I level for inbound issues coming into the Security Department

 

4.

 

Works with Tier II and III to research improvements in processes or technical solutions

 

5.

 

Works with Tier II and III to help implement new processes or technical solutions

 

6.

Provides training during new hire Orientation; supports Security Awareness efforts

 

7.

 

Provides support and research for both internal and external audit; provides support and research for the development of policies, standards, procedures and guidelines

 

8.

 

Works with Security Team and other IS personnel towards the goal of reduction of risk

 

9.

Maintains and improves knowledge across all Information Security domains

10.

Performs other duties of a miscellaneous nature to the operation of Information System as Security Manager assigns.

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION & TRAINING:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience (one year of experience in IS may substitute for one year of education).  Healthcare IS experience preferred. 

 

EXPERIENCE:

1 year or more experience in Information Security or Information Technology required – programming, network/systems administration experience helpful. Ability to understand security concepts and apply through the administration and support of Information Security technology and processes.  Skills to communicate technical guidance and instruction to internal and external customers on the use of applications and systems in a manner that is easy to understand. 

 

LICENSE & CERTIFICATION:

 

Coursework in Information Security and Security+/MCP helpful.
